[Defina Strategy] Thorough Explanation of Element & Faction Attribute Bonuses

Elements are an essential element to win in Defina. Depending on the element, you can expect a significant increase in effectiveness through compatibility or elements.

What are elements?

  1. Different effects depend on various attack and passive skills.
  2. There are five types of element attributes: wind, fire, water, lightning, and earth.
  3. If there are two or more main element heroes of the same race on the team, they benefit from specific element bonuses

Each attribute has a different effect, but we’ll explain all the elements thoroughly!

Wind Element 


Element Bonus Effect 

  1. If there are two heroes with the wind as their central element in the team 
    →The hero’s speed, whose main element is wind, is increased by 30%. 
  2. If there are four heroes with the wind as their central element in the team 
    →All allies can attack twice in the first round. 

Wind Totem 

Main Element Effects 

  1. Hero’s speed is increased by 30%. 

Passive Effect 

  1. If the hero’s speed is more significant than 200, 30% of the damage dealt with the primary target sales to surrounding enemies (the effect can be duplicated) 
  2. Spread damage is negated when entirely absorbed by the main target’s shield (this factor does not apply to healing). 

Wind Pressure 

Skill Effects 

  1. Attacks deal 7.5% additional damage per target. 
  2. This effect does not apply to heals. 

Passive Effects 

  1. This hero’s first round of attacks will deal 30% more damage or heal 30% more. 


Whirlwind 

Skill Effect 

  1. If the target’s main element is fire, there is a 15% chance of an additional attack. 

Passive Effect 

  1. This hero has a 10% chance of counterattack when attacked by an enemy of elemental fire. 

Breeze 

Skill Effect 

  1. If the target’s speed is 120 or less, the attack or recovery effect increases by 20%. 

Passive Effect 

  1. Each attack reduces the enemy’s speed by five and increases the hero’s speed by 5 (can be duplicated) 

Tornado 

Skill Effects 

  1. If the hero’s speed is 200 or more, the chance of activating a Hyper Skill is increased by 20%. 
  2. This effect lasts until the end of the next round. 

Passive Effect 

  1. Hyper Skill activation rate is increased by 30

Fire Element 

Element Bonus Effect 

  1. If there are two heroes with Fire as their central element in the team 
    →When attacking targets with less than 30% HP, the damage dealt by heroes whose main element is Fire is increased by 15 
  2. If there are four heroes with Fire as their central element in the team 
    →All allies will deal 30% more damage to shielded enemies. 

Fire Totem 

Main Element Effects

  1.  Team attack power is increased by 8%. 

Skill Effect 

  1. If the target’s HP is 50% or less, attack power increases by 20%. 

Combustion 

Skill Effect 

  1. The debuff status [Scorch] grants. HP is reduced every round by 10% of the damage inflicted by the hero when it gives (lasts for three games). 
  2. Duplication by the same element is possible but not with other elemental effects. 

Passive Effects 

  1. If the hero’s current HP is greater than 20% at the start of the round, the hero will have 5% more attack power but 5% less HP. 
  2. Duplicatable and lasts throughout the battle. 

Scorching Sun 

Skill Effect 

  1. Deals additional damage to the target equal to 8% of lost HP 


Passive Effect 

  1. Damage to shielded enemies is increased by 30%. 

Heart of Lava 

Skill Effect 

  1. When attacking a stunned target, this hero’s damage increases by 20%. 

Passive Effect 

  1. 5% chance to stun a target when attacked. The effect lasts until the end of the next round. 

Ring of Fire I 

Skill Effect 

  1. If the target’s main element is water, the target’s recovery reduces by 50% (this effect lasts until the end of the next round) 

Passive Effect 

  1. If the target attacks an enemy whose main element is water, there is a 30% chance that 50% of the damage will be deflected. 

Ring of Fire II 

Skill Effect

If the target’s main element is water, it reduces the target’s recovery by 100% (the effect lasts until the end of the next round) 

Passive Effect 

If an enemy attacks the target with a Water main element, there is a 30% chance of 50% of the damage deflecting

Water Element 


Element Bonus Effect 

  1. If there are two heroes with Water as their central element in the team 
    →Heroes whose main element is Water will regain 5% of their HP every round. 
  2. If there are four heroes with Water as their central element in the team 
    →Removes one debuff and adds 10% recovery when a hero heals. 

Water Totem 


Main element effect 

  1. 10% increase in recovery effect for the entire team 

Skill Effect 

After an attack, if the total HP is less than 50%, the hero’s ATK will recover 50% of its health. 

Deep Water 


Skill Effect 

  1. If the hero’s energy is below 50 before the attack, the attack damage or recovery will be increased by 35 

Passive Effect 

  • When attacked by an elemental wind enemy, there is a 30% chance of recovering 20 Energy. 

Fountain of Life 

Skill Effect 

  1. Removes one debuff and adds 10% recovery based on the amount already recovered this round (the effect is performed at the end of the game and lasts for two rounds) 

Passive Effects 

  1. At the end of each round, it recovers 8% of the total lost HP. 

Rainstorm 

Skill Effect 

  1. After an attack, if the target’s HP falls below 50%, the target’s strength is reduced by 10

 Passive Effect 

  1. After the 8th round, all enemies lose 10 Energy at the start of each game. 

Frost 

Skill Effect 

  1. If the target’s current HP is 70% or more, the target loses 40% of its HP 
  2. Target recovers 25% of the 40% HP lost at the end of each round for four rounds 

Passive Effect 

  1. When attacked by an enemy, the target speed is reduced by 100 (the effect lasts until the end of the next round)

Lightning Element

Element Bonus Effect

  1. If there are two heroes in the team whose main element is lightning
    →Heroes whose main element is lightning receive an additional 20 Energy at the start of the battle.
  2. If there are four heroes with lightning as their central element in the team
    →All heroes receive an extra 20 Energy at the beginning of the battle

Lightning Dominant Hero Effect

  1. If a hero only has the Lightning element, that hero becomes a “Lightning Dominant Hero” (a unique effect that only this attribute has)
  2. If there are two or more Lightning Dominant Heroes on the team, the Lightning Dominant Hero’s basic attack generates an additional 5.

Lightning Totem

Skill Effect

Increases the team’s Critical Chance by 8%.

Passive Effect

If the target’s HP is below 50%, the Hero’s Critical Chance is increased by 25%.

High Pressure

Skill Effects

  1. Skill Effect I: If the target’s HP is 80% or more, attack power increases by 20%.
  2. Skill Effect II: Stuns the target with a 15% chance. Suppose the attack is a critical hit, and the stun chance doubles (the effect lasts until the end of the next round).

Lightning

Skill Effects

  1. Skill Effect I: After a critical hit, the damage of the next attack is increased by 15%.
  2. Skill Effect Ⅱ:When a hero’s HP is below 50%, there is a 20% chance of a critical hit.

Earth Element

Element Bonus Effect

  1. If there are two heroes in the team whose main element is earth,
    →the damage dealt with the heroes in the same row whose main element is earth and their allies will reduce by 10%.
  2. If there are four heroes of the main element of land in the team
    →Damage taken by all members of the group is reduced by 10%.

Earth Dominant Hero Effect

  1. If a hero has only the earth element, that hero becomes an “Earth Dominant Hero” (a unique effect that only this attribute has)
  2. If there are two or more Earth Dominant Heroes on the team, 25% of attack damage heals when activating a shield-granting skill

Main Element Effect

  1. Increases team HP by 8%.

Skill Effect

  1. If the hero’s HP is below 50% after the attack, the hero gains a shield equivalent to 10% of the hero’s maximum HP (this effect lasts until the end of the next round)

■Mountain Range

Skill Effect

  1. When the skill uses on a single target, the attack damage or recovery effect increases by 30%.

Passive Effect

  1. The shield absorption effect is increased by 30%.
  2. This effect is not described in the table above but is confirmed in-game.

■Desert

Skill Effects

  1. Skill Effect I: If the target does not have a shield, it loses five energy
  2. Skill Effect II: If the target has 0 points, the attack damage or recovery effect is increased by 15

Nature Breath Bonus

Nature Breath Bonus is an effect that is activated when there are two or more heroes with elements in 3 sets: Wind, Water, and Fire. 

The probability of activating Hyper Skill is increased by 10%. 

Faction Attribute Bonus 

Depending on the combination of NFTs, a bonus to attack or defense power generates. 
Multiple heroes of the same faction give the team attack and defense bonuses.

Faction Attribute Bonus Effect 

Promethean Fire 

  • If there are two or more Promethean Fire factions on the team 
    →Increases the maximum energy of all heroes by 20%. 
  • If there are three or more members of the Promethean Fire faction on the team 
    →If there is more than 20 energy, the damage to skills and Hyper Attacks will increase by 50%. 

Ouroboros 

  • If there are two or more Ouroboros faction members in the team 
    →The heroes of the Ouroboros faction will have their attack power increased by 30% for each ally in the party that dies. This ability does not count if there are three or more dead allies. 
  • If there are three or more Ouroboros faction members on the team 
    →All heroes receive 30 Energy when an ally dies. 

The Book of Toth 

  • If there are two or more Book of Thoth factions on the team 
    →A random Book of Toth faction Hero’s Critical Chance is increased by 30%. 
  • If there are three or more Book of Toth factions on the team 
    → The critical chance of all heroes is increased by 30%. 

Aegis of Athena 

  • If there are two or more Aegis of Athena factions on the team 
    →hero grants a shield that absorbs damage up to 20% of its maximum HP and lasts until the end of the battle. 
  • If there are three or more members of the Aegis of Athena faction on the team 
    → A shield was granted to the hero’s lowest HP starting from the second round. The shield absorbs damage up to 10% of the hero’s maximum HP and disappears. 

Others

When all heroes of different factions are on the team, the damage to all heroes is reduced by 5%.
